10 Things We Miss From the 70’s

  1. There was nothing like touching and feeling the music. You actually had to go to the store, browse, find, explore, and soak it all up. Now, it’s just too easy.

2. There was just something fulfilling. Getting with friends. No internet. No GPS. You just had to follow the map and figure out how to adventure to your destination.

3. “Meet me there?” This was the true “Facetime” with friends. Just enjoying each other’s company, having a bite.

4. And of course, just vibing out. Putting on the newest Black Sabbath album. And lighting it up.

5. Back when you took in the moment. No phones in hand everywhere, trying to impress everyone on social media. These are where memories were actually made.

6. No crazy graphics and chaos. This was video game purity and origin.

7. You had to call home and maybe your friend’s mother picked up. Or maybe you were wanting to talk to a girl you liked, but her father answered. The rush, the excitement. Back when communication didn’t have to be available 24/7. Each moment on the phone was cherished.

8. No crazy CGI. It was all creativity and art. A time when some of cinema’s classics were born. And you had to get off the couch, meet with friends, to go see it.

9. Arguably the most iconic fashion. So powerful, it’s been seeming to make a comeback in the late 2020’s.

10. Nowadays, you take a pic with your phone and within days it’s just a memory stored up in a handheld device you probably will forget about. But not then. You actually printed out pictures and put them in a frame, or a book. Memories that will last forever that you can feel and touch.

BONUS: yes. There will never be an era like the 1970’s for music. It was truly the best. And classic rock still lives on today.
