Rolling Stones Set to Rock North America in 2024 with Exciting Tour Announcement

The Rolling Stones gear up for their much-anticipated North American tour in 2024. The iconic band is set to kick off the tour on April 28 in Houston, marking their return to the stateside stage after a hiatus of over two years.

The tour follows the tragic loss of co-founding drummer Charlie Watts in August.

The band resumed touring in September 2021, introducing Steve Jordan, a longtime member of Keith Richards’ X-Pensive Winos band, as Watts’ replacement.

“Some people said, ‘Oh, well, Charlie died. He should have not done the tour and stopped,'” Mick Jagger reflected on the band’s resilience during the 2021 U.S. No Filter tour. “The thing about the Rolling Stones throughout their career has been their resilience in the face of adversity. And we’ve had ups and downs — mostly ups, to be honest. We’ve had adversity, and this was probably one of the most difficult ones.”

Richards echoed this sentiment in 2022 as the Stones celebrated their 60th anniversary

Emphasizing the importance of the band members wanting to stay together.

“Sixty years is a hell of a long time. How do you do that? The most important thing is that the people in the band want to stay together. That helps! We had our ups and downs, of course. But in the end, we always noticed that we are more creative together.”

In addition to the tour announcement, The Rolling Stones have surprised fans with a new studio album, “Hackney Diamonds,” their first release of new material since 2005. The album features two tracks with Watts, offering a blend of the old and the new with Jordan’s distinct style.

“It’ll be interesting to find out the dynamics now that Steve’s in the band,” Richards shared, hinting at the band’s evolving sound. “It’s sort of metamorphosing into something else.”
