Metallica Extends M72 World Tour with Upcoming Tour New Dates Across the UK and Ireland

New UK and Europe Dates Announced
Metallica has expanded their M72 World Tour with 16 new shows across Europe and the UK. The added 2026 dates will begin on May 9 in Athens, Greece, and finish on July 5 at London Stadium. This run includes cities such as Dublin, Frankfurt, and Budapest.
Some cities will host two concerts under the band’s “No Repeat Weekend” setup. These shows feature different setlists across both nights. Cities with back-to-back shows include Frankfurt, Budapest, Dublin, and London, continuing a pattern from earlier legs of the tour.

One Night Stops and Support Acts
In addition to double-night cities, Metallica will perform single shows in places like Bucharest, Chorzów, Zurich, Berlin, Bologna, Glasgow, and Cardiff. These shows will still include the full tour stage production and setup.
Gojira and Knocked Loose are set to open on most nights. However, fans in Frankfurt, Dublin, and Budapest will see Pantera and Avatar on select nights. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. local time on May 30.
More Dates Across the Globe
Before heading to Europe, Metallica will continue touring the United States through spring and early summer 2025. U.S. stops include Philadelphia, Atlanta, Tampa, Houston, Santa Clara, and Denver. Each city will feature either one or two shows.
After the U.S., the band will head to Australia and New Zealand. These shows will take place in November 2025 in cities like Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland. Tickets for those shows are already available.
Touring Behind Their Latest Album
Metallica is currently touring in support of their 2023 album 72 Seasons, which was released on their own Blackened label. The album continues to shape the band’s setlists as they bring new and old songs to fans around the world.
The M72 World Tour has been known for its unique stage layout, setlist changes, and fan experience. With the announcement of new dates, it’s clear the tour still has more to offer fans in 2025 and 2026.
