Emergency at Home

Hulk Hogan, one of the most well-known wrestlers in WWE history, has died at age 71. TMZ Sports reported that medics were called to his Clearwater, Florida home early Thursday morning.

According to emergency operators, the call was about a “cardiac arrest.” Police and EMTs arrived quickly, and Hogan was taken out on a stretcher and placed into an ambulance.

Health Rumors and Recent Concerns

Just weeks before, Hogan’s wife, Sky, spoke out against rumors that he was in a coma. She explained that his heart was “strong” and that he was recovering from past surgeries.

Last month, there were also rumors that Hogan was on his “deathbed.” However, sources said at the time that he was only feeling the effects of a neck surgery he had in May.

Changing Wrestling Forever

Hogan helped change the image of professional wrestling. Before him, wrestling mostly appealed to a smaller group of fans. Hogan’s in-ring energy and character attracted kids and their parents, helping make wrestling more mainstream.

In 1996, he made a major shift in his career by turning from a hero to a villain. He created the NWO—New World Order—and became known as Hollywood Hulk Hogan. This change brought even more attention to him and the sport.

A Complicated Career

In 2005, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. But in 2015, he was removed after being caught on a secretly recorded video using racist language during a private moment. Gawker released the tape, and Hogan later sued the company and won.

Despite the controversy, WWE welcomed him back. In 2020, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame a second time, this time as part of the NWO group.

Hollywood Roles

Hogan also had a successful career in movies. He began acting in 1982 with the film Rocky III, where he played the role of Thunderlips.

He later starred in other movies such as No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr. Nanny. His big personality helped make these roles memorable for fans of both wrestling and film.

“Story Developing”

No other details have been shared yet, and the story is still developing.

Rest in Peace
