The 77-year-old Dolly Parton astounded the crowd after dressing up as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader during the Thanksgiving halftime show last November 23.

According to the reports, the Thanksgiving halftime show between the Washington Commanders and Cowboys earned a $1 million donation, which will benefit the Salvation Army’s red kettle campaign.

During the performance, Parton was surrounded by the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. She was wearing the exact same uniform as required which stirred up mixed emotions from the viewers. Mostly, derogatory remarks. Hate comments being thrown at Dolly have reached the attention of her sister, Stella.

In a social media post, Stella defended her sister, saying enough with the hate. The post says:

“I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleading costume at the halftime show on Thanksgiving. Nothing controversial there, right? Those of you being so critical of a 77-year-old kicking up her heels, I say fuck yourself. Shame on you, not her.”

Stella Parton is a self-made woman. Like her sister, she is also a singer-songwriter and has recorded nearly two dozen albums in the past. (lifetimesmilesbellevue.com) She became popular with her hit “I Want to Hold You in My Dreams Tonight.” Like Dolly, the younger Parton has served better purposes for human rights as an activist too.
