Willie Nelson’s much-loved Outlaw Music Festival Tour officially hit the road Tuesday night in Phoenix, and it launched with a bang. The first show featured a powerhouse lineup including Bob Dylan, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, and more. One of the biggest highlights? Dylan performed “Mr. Tambourine Man” for the first time since 2010 and picked up the guitar for “It Ain’t Me, Babe.” He closed with a touching cover of The Pogues’ “A Rainy Night in Soho,” a tribute to late frontman Shane MacGowan.
The Tour Lineup Packs a Punch
This year’s Outlaw Tour is stacked with talent. Alongside Nelson and Dylan, the lineup includes Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Turnpike Troubadours, the Avett Brothers, Sierra Hull, Waxahatchee, and many more. It’s a mix of country, Americana, and rock that promises something for everyone.
On the Road Again
The tour will travel across North America, mostly hitting outdoor amphitheaters. In a previous press release, Willie shared his excitement:
“What an amazing lineup to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour. I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love.”
