Frank Beard Rejoins as Tour Expands
ZZ Top is adding over a dozen new stops to their 2025 Elevation Tour after drummer Frank Beard rejoined the lineup earlier this month. Beard had been recovering from foot and ankle issues but is now back on stage. With his return, the band will continue touring across North America, hitting states like Oklahoma, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Texas through the fall.
Billy F. Gibbons shared, “This has been a great tour so we figured it would be a good idea to add some additional dates to keep the good times rolling. Come on out and see us at a concert venue near you.”

Tour Lineup and Special Guests
Several acts will join ZZ Top on select tour dates. These include Night Ranger, Payton Smith, Black Stone Cherry, Molly Hatchet, and The Wallflowers. Fans can expect ZZ Top’s usual mix of rock, blues, and boogie, along with their unmistakable look: long beards, custom hot rods, spinning guitars, and the famous keychain.
Known as “That Little Ol’ Band from Texas,” ZZ Top has performed together for over 50 years and remains a regular on stages around the world. They’ve played across four continents and were the focus of a Grammy-nominated documentary.
Recognition and Legacy
Over the years, ZZ Top has sold millions of records, earned honors such as “Heroes of the State of Texas,” and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’ve also been referenced across pop culture, including cartoons and TV sitcoms.
With Beard back in action, fans will get the full band experience at these new shows. The group’s return to the road continues to show why their music and image have remained popular for so long.
