Guitar virtuoso Zakk Wylde has expressed his readiness to join Black Sabbath for future tours if the legendary Ozzy Osbourne wishes to hit the road again. In a chat with American Music Supply, Wylde affectionately referred to the Osbournes as “like my parents,” emphasizing his deep bond with them. He humorously added that he’d be there for any task they needed, even if it was just “bring[ing] milk and eggs over.”

A Bond Forged in Rock

Wylde’s association with Ozzy dates back to 1987, when he first showcased his guitar prowess alongside the Prince of Darkness. Over the years, they’ve gotten back together several times, with Wylde becoming an important part of Ozzy’s band. This long-lasting friendship has been recognized by Ozzy, who says that Wylde is more than just a bandmate; he’s family.

Black Sabbath’s Farewell and the Road Ahead

Recently, Black Sabbath revealed that their farewell concert would be called “Back to the Beginning” and would take place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. This event offers a great lineup, with bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera playing. The money raised will go to charities like Cure Parkinson’s.

People have wondered about Ozzy’s performance skills because of his health problems, such as his fight with Parkinson’s disease. Wylde joked that Ozzy might perform from a “throne” during the show so that fans could still have the famous experience they want.

The Future of Touring

Even though the farewell show is coming up, Wylde is still looking forward to future tours. It was his hope that if Ozzy liked the upcoming show, it would make him want to go on tour again. “If Oz has a great time and it’s just, like, ‘I wanna go out on the road again,’ it’s just, like, ‘Good. Let’s do it again.” Wylde shared.

Heavy metal fans all over the world can’t wait to see this dynamic duo back on stage, bringing the heavy metal magic they’ve been known for for years.
