We Love the Air Guitar

Celebrating the 46th Anniversary of Woodstock yesterday, we  figured we would share a Joe Cocker treat with you today that is not “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

Since Cocker was so much more than a cover artist, he deserves to have his original work come to light.

“Something coming on, don’t know what it is but it’s getting stronger. Feeling in my bones, hope you let it last a little bit longer.”

As Joe Cocker stepped on the Woodstock stage in ’69, illuminating millions of people with his iconic voice he spoke so subtly yet deeply stating ” it’s called ‘Something’s Coming On’. I don’t know what it is but it’s getting stronger” before he proceeded to symbolically execute the air guitar to this beautiful song.

Fun Fact: In Joe’s first band, the Cavaliers, he toured with the Rolling Stones and the Hollies.

At the time of Woodstock, our nation’s youth was searching for hope, peace and something to aspire toward so they took to music like that of Joe’s.
