Details on The End
Wolfgang Van Halen has officially announced his third studio album, The End, set to be released on October 24 through BMG. The 10-track record runs 39 minutes and highlights Wolfgang’s continued growth as both a musician and songwriter since launching his solo career in 2020.
The album was recorded at the legendary 5150 studio and produced by longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette. Following the approach that defined his earlier albums, Wolfgang once again handled all songwriting, instrumentation, and vocals himself.
Musical Direction and New Tracks
According to the announcement, The End pushes Wolfgang beyond what he achieved on Mammoth II, featuring a mix of energy and melody across tracks like “Same Old Song,” “Happy,” and “Selfish.” The record opens with the hypnotic “One Of A Kind” and closes with the powerful “All In Good Time.”
Fans can expect a continuation of the Mammoth sound that combines classic rock elements with modern production, further solidifying Wolfgang’s identity as an artist independent of his father’s legacy.
Chart Success and Video Highlights
Earlier this year, Mammoth released the album’s first single, which quickly climbed into the Top 5 at Active Rock Radio. Its success was fueled by a music video inspired by From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, directed by Robert Rodriguez and Greg Nicotero, featuring cameos from Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and Valerie Bertinelli.
To accompany the album announcement, Mammoth released a new track, “The Spell,” now available on all digital platforms. The accompanying performance video—directed by Gordy De St. Jeor—shows Wolfgang performing every instrument himself.
The End is available for pre-order here in various formats, including limited-edition vinyl and signed inserts.
