You could say he’s the “Ace Of Spades!”
Now this is what we like to call utilizing your resources! Who needs to spend money on a big, shiny, expensive, brand new guitar, when you’ve got 3 strings and a shovel? YouTuber Justin Johnson took guitar playing to the next level when he took an average old shovel, rigged it to an amplifier and shredded an amazing tune! Technically, the tool he’s using is called a “spade,” but, since he refers to it as a shovel, we’ll just go with that! You can definitely say this instrument is “groundbreaking!”
Justin uses a slide to give the song an old school, bluegrass sound. This seriously sounds like it came straight from southern rock roots. You can hear the inspiration of Lynyrd Skynyrd not only in his sound, but also in the way he dresses! The long wavy hair, the button-up collared shirt, bolo tie and hat all look like Justin could be a long lost member of Skynyrd!
