Paul McCartney has dropped a new music video for his song with Beck titled “Find My Way”. In the surreal and trippy MV, a young McCartney deepfake appears, dancing in the halls of a hotel and being transported to various other dream-like locations. At the end, Macca pulls of his “mask” and reveals that he was actually Beck the whole time. It’s one of the most fascinating things about digital technology – such a hi-tech revival.
It was directed by Andrew Donoho, co-produced with Hyperreal Digital, and choreographed by Phil Tayag.
The track was originally featured on the former Beatle’s remix album McCartney III Imagined – a reworking of his 2020 LP McCartney III.
“The technology to de-age talent and have them perform in creative environments like this is now fully realized,” Hyperreal’s CEO Remington Scott said in a statement, “even with one of the most recognized faces in the world.”
McCartney III Imagined was released to streaming platforms in April and became available on vinyl last July 23.
Meanwhile, Disney+ announced that Paul McCartney’s upcoming docu-series McCartney 3,2,1 will premiere in the UK next month with the first episode airing on August 25. It already aired in the US via Hulu.
