Watch Carrie Underwood Cover “Welcome To The Jungle” by GNR

During Carrie Underwood’s October 2022 tour stop in Greenville, South Carolina, the American Idol star delivered a powerful cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle.” Her electrifying performance added a rock twist to her concert, showcasing her versatility beyond country and pop.

The tour, named after her album Denim and Rhinestones, focused heavily on her new material, featuring eight fresh songs from the album. Midway through the concert, Underwood took to a side stage to perform six more songs before returning to the main stage to close out the night.

As the iconic guitar riff from Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction hit “Welcome to the Jungle” echoed through the arena, the lights dimmed to a dark red glow. Underwood emerged from beneath the stage, ready to take command. Over the next four and a half minutes, she owned the stage, belting out the lyrics while her band nailed the classic rock anthem to perfection. She rocked Greenville with her fans that night. Underwood even mimicked some of Axl Rose’s signature moves, adding authenticity to the cover and driving the crowd wilder.

This isn’t Underwood’s first foray into covering the legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses. She famously performed alongside Axl Rose at the Stagecoach Festival in California, delivering memorable renditions of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.” Just two months after that, in July, Underwood joined GN’R again for a surprise performance in London.

Underwood’s ability to cross genres so effortlessly has earned her a reputation for being a dynamic performer. She proves that she’s not afraid to venture into rock territory, delighting fans with her take on these classic hits. It was another show-stopping number from Underwood.
