Get ready for an overload of cuteness as 5-year-old drummer Chrisyius Whitehead charmed the judges on America’s Got Talent. When this adorable young musician stepped onto the AGT stage, dressed in a white button-down shirt, brown vest, and a bowtie, he quickly caught the attention of judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum.
Cowell asked Chrisyius a very important question: What would he do if he won the $1 million prize? The lovable boy answered, “I would share with poor people and homeless people and everybody in this whole world,” which made the audience and AGT Host Terry Crews go “aww.” Cowell found Chrisyius’ response “very sweet” and followed up by asking what he’d do with any leftover money. Chrisyius replied, “I would buy 200 bags of slime and squishy toys,” sparking laughter from everyone.
Klum remarked that she loved making farting sounds with those toys, to which Chrisyius politely replied, “Yes, Ma’am,” demonstrating his excellent manners.
Who is Chrisyius Whitehead?
Chrisyius Whitehead is a 5-year-old drummer from Sopchoppy, Florida. When asked how long he’s been playing the drums, he said, “Since I was one and 2 and 3.” Cowell, who mentioned his own son plays the drums, called Chrisyius’ talent “the coolest thing in the world.”
Chrisyius has also made waves on social media, especially on his family’s TikTok account. One video featuring his drumming skills has reached nearly 14 million views.
Due to his small size, Chrisyius stands while playing his drum set, which only makes his performances cuter.
What Song Did He Play for the Judges?
For his AGT debut, Chrisyius drummed to Stevie Wonder’s “Faith” featuring Ariana Grande. This song is well-known from the animated movie “Sing,” and it was nominated for Best Original Song at the 74th Golden Globe Awards.
Behind his silver drum set, Chrisyius could barely see over the drums, but he never missed a beat. The audience was amazed, and Cowell encouraged him to have the time of his life on stage. Chrisyius showed no signs of nervousness and performed confidently.
When the song ended, Cowell raised his fists in the air and stood up, clearly impressed.

After the performance, Cowell asked Chrisyius if playing the drums felt good, to which he answered, “Yes, Sir.” The audience loved this moment, and the judges couldn’t tell if Chrisyius was standing or sitting.
