Val Kilmer, the well-known actor from blockbuster films like “Top Gun,” “Batman Forever,” and “Tombstone,” died at age 65. He passed away in Los Angeles due to pneumonia, confirmed by his daughter, Mercedes. Kilmer had been battling health issues for years, including a throat cancer diagnosis in 2015. Despite these challenges, he continued to act and even returned as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in “Top Gun: Maverick” in 2022. His return was notable considering he had undergone a tracheostomy, which required him to use a breathing tube.

He explained in a 2021 interview that he had to plug a hole in his throat to speak, making daily activities quite difficult.
