A devastating incident occurred during Oasis’ concert at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night when a fan reportedly died after falling from an upper tier of the venue.

According to a report from the BBC, police and paramedics were called to the scene at 10:19 p.m., shortly before the show ended. Authorities confirmed that a man in his 40s was found with injuries consistent with a fall and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been made public.

The Metropolitan Police are now asking concertgoers to come forward with any relevant information.

“The stadium was busy,” their statement read. “We believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident or may unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.”

Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000, features three levels of seating. The uppermost tier stands approximately 170 feet above the stadium floor, raising concerns about crowd safety during large-scale events.

Oasis Responds with Statement of Condolence

Following the tragedy, Oasis issued a statement, saying they were “shocked and saddened” by the news and extended their “sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Despite the incident, the band continued with their scheduled performance on Sunday, marking their fifth consecutive night at Wembley.

Tour to Continue Amid Investigation

The band is set to move forward with its tour, which includes three upcoming shows in Edinburgh, followed by two performances in Dublin. Oasis will then head to North America, starting with a show in Toronto on August 24.

As the investigation continues, police are urging anyone with information to contact them via the non-emergency line at 101.
