“I Stand Before You Today As One Of The Privileged Few…”

Grammy award winning recording artist Meat Loaf was honored at the 1994 Brit Awards with the award for best selling single for “I Would Do Anything For Love”. It was after his scheduled performance that he was called to the podium by Elton John to accept this award.

Once he accepted his award, he then decided to give a speech thanking those who had helped him along the way, only it turned out to be a speech that hasn’t been matched even to this day.

Needless to say, Meat Loaf was beyond gracious to receive this award. The words in his heartwarming speech proved this in more ways than one. Meat Loaf was not only the most deserving of this award, but it seemed like destiny that he took the stage to give this iconic speech for the whole world to hear. Relive this timeless moment in the video below!

Meat Loaf’s latest album ‘Braver Than We Are’ is available now on Itunes, Amazon, and Google Play for Android users. Get it now!
