Snoop Dogg Returns to The Voice
Fans of The Voice have been eagerly awaiting news about the coaching lineup for Season 28, and now the wait is finally over. One coach had already been confirmed back in April—Snoop Dogg. He first appeared as a coach during Season 26 and quickly became a fan favorite.
Discussing his experience on the show, Snoop shared his enthusiasm for music with Jimmy Fallon. “Well, if you know anything about me, you know I love all forms of music,” he said. “So this is a great opportunity for me to show that I really understand music and to be a real Coach. And to really give direction to some of these Artists that could be, you know, today’s next big thing.” His return is sure to excite viewers who enjoyed his energy and guidance during his previous season.

Familiar Coaches Make a Comeback
On May 12, The Voice revealed the rest of the coaching panel through a social media post. Fans learned that three more stars will be joining Snoop Dogg this fall. The coaches include Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire—all of whom have made appearances on the show before.
Niall Horan returns after taking a two-year break following his back-to-back wins in Seasons 23 and 24. Michael Bublé, who is part of the current Season 27 lineup, is staying on for another season, making him the only coach rolling over from this year. Country music star Reba McEntire is also coming back after stepping away to focus on other projects, including her sitcom Happy’s Place. Her return is expected to thrill country fans.
When Can We Expect Season 28?
While viewers now know the full coaching lineup, exact details about the release date for Season 28 remain unclear. NBC has only confirmed that the season will premiere in the fall. Historically, The Voice airs two seasons each year, one in the spring and another in the fall.
Based on previous years, the upcoming season is likely to hit screens around September. For now, fans will need to stay tuned for more updates as the network continues to share information about what’s ahead for one of television’s most popular music competitions.
