Tour Announcement and Launch Details

Styx and Chicago have confirmed a major Summer 2026 co-headlining run called “The Windy Cities Tour – All the Hits…Your Kind of Tour.” It brings both bands together for the first time on a shared national stage, creating an event built around their long musical history and loyal audiences.

The tour begins on July 13th in West Palm Beach, Florida, and continues until September 6th, closing at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Along the way, the schedule includes stops in Tampa, Toronto, Rosemont, Austin, Houston, St. Louis, Denver, and Phoenix, with additional cities spread across the United States and Canada. The routing places the bands in several major markets where both acts have long-standing fanbases.

Ticket Information and Fan Access

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select shows opens on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time. Access will be available for Live Nation All Access members. General ticket sales begin Friday at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster. Fans planning to attend multiple dates will have a wide range of venues to choose from, including arenas, amphitheaters, and large outdoor stages.

Despite both bands originating in Chicago and sharing decades of history, they have never toured together. This makes the 2026 run a notable moment for fans who have followed the groups from their early years through their continued success.

Band Reactions and Shared Excitement

Styx singer and guitarist Tommy Shaw shared his thoughts in a press release, reflecting on his early years. “In my early days of live performing I had several mentors who were kind enough to let me join in and play with them despite not being able to read charts,” he said. Shaw went on to name mentors such as Rod Henley, Ricky Parsons, Bobby and Larry Moore, Eddie Wohlford, Wimpy Jones, and Country Boy Eddie, adding, “And I am thankful for that. By the time Chicago released their first album, I had enough experience to begin learning their amazing music on my own. Now, the idea of Styx touring with Chicago is a major thrill all on its own. We can’t wait to spend the summer with them!”

Chicago trumpeter Lee Loughnane also expressed his excitement. “We are excited about the summer tour. Chicago has never toured with Styx before so it’s going to be a lot of fun, we’re looking forward to it.”
