Stevie Nicks has released a brand-new single, “The Lighthouse,” and excitement is buzzing as fans listen to her latest track.
The legendary Fleetwood Mac singer recently shared a teaser clip of the song on her social media. In the clip, you can hear a lyric from a poem she posted in 2022, titled “Get It Back.” The lyrics go, “I wanna teach you to fight… I want to be the lighthouse / Bring you all together / Bring you out in stormy weather / I wanna teach you to fight.”
Back in 2022, Nicks shared the poem as a call to action, urging Americans to register to vote before the midterm elections. “At 74 years old, I can honestly say that I am worried about every one of you,” she said, expressing concern about health care and other important rights. “You must gather together now. You must register to vote as soon as you can.”
Even while on tour, Nicks has been hard at work. She explained, “Recording a song out here on the road is not an easy task, so while I am doing that, I decided that you should have the words…” Nicks is dedicated to sharing her message.
Stevie Nicks Encourages Fans to Vote in Upcoming Elections
Earlier this month, she once again encouraged her fans to participate in the upcoming presidential election, reminding them:
“Only 54 days left until the election. Make sure you are registered to vote! Your vote in this election may be one of the most important things you ever do.”
Her Return to Saturday Night Live
In other exciting news, Nicks will also be returning to Saturday Night Live next month as the musical guest—40 years after her last performance on the show! Whether she’ll perform “The Lighthouse” remains to be seen, but her fans can’t wait to find out.
