For all the fans of Fleetwood Mac who are expecting to see them together again, Steve Nicks has confirmed that the band has officially broken up.

Following the passing of Christine McVie in 2022, Nicks stated that “there’s no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

Nicks and Mick Fleetwood shared the same sentiments saying that “without Christine [McVie], no can do.”

The singer also mentioned his former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, who left the band in 2018 noting that the guitarist has been dealing with his health issues and doubts that the band will be able to tour the way they did before. Nicks also noted that she is already contented touring as a solo artist but clarified that she “will keep the music of Fleetwood Mac alive, for as long as I can.”

More recently, Nicks is set to wrap up her current US trek this week which includes a co-headlining date at Soldier Field in Chicago with Billy Joel, before kicking off on a run of shows in the UK and Europe in July.
