Finally Some News

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus has been teasing us since December about a new album which might come out this year. He even revealed they’re already just waiting for Slash to finish his tour so they can continue recording. Slash is currently travelling across UK with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators in support of Living the Dream.

Now, Slash himself gave updates on what we should expect on their new material in an interview with Japanese music critic Maso Ito on news outlet TVK’s Rock City.

“Axl, Duff, myself and Richard have all talked about… there’s material and stuff going on already for a new record.

“It’s just, with Guns N’ Roses, you don’t go, ‘Oh, there’s a plan, and it’s gonna be like this,’ because that’s not how it works.

“Basically, the only real answer to give is we’re hoping to put a new record out, and we’ll just see what happens when it happens.”

This will get fans excited since there hasn’t been a new material in over a decade. Their last studio album was “Chinese Democracy” released on November 2008 and well, maybe we can all agree that it wasn’t their best work.
They wrapped up their Not In This Lifetime tour last December after playing over 100 shows worldwide.
