Slash, the iconic guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, has announced the death of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, who was 25 years old. The news was shared on social media on July 22.

The statement read:

“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

Details surrounding her passing have not been disclosed, and the family has requested minimal social media speculation to allow them to grieve privately.

The announcement was met with a flood of condolences from fans and friends alike. Model and author Susan Holmes McKagan, wife of Slash’s bandmate Duff McKagan, expressed, “Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. Love you all so much.” Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea commented, “Oh man, god bless,” while Violet Grohl, daughter of Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, shared, “My heart hurts for you guys. All the love to your family rn.”

Lucy-Bleu Knight was known for her work as a day-to-day manager at Electric Lady Management and as a talented tattoo artist, frequently showcasing her work on social media. She was the daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight. Hodges and Slash, who first got together in 1989 and rekindled their relationship in 2015, have been deeply affected by this loss.

Due to this tragic event, Slash announced the cancellation of several dates on his S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase,” the statement read. The canceled dates included a show in Cincinnati on July 22, followed by performances in Interlochen, Huber Heights, and Windsor. As of now, the tour is expected to resume in Toronto on July 28.
