Sharon Osbourne has broken her silence following the death of her husband, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, sharing a heartfelt message with fans on Instagram.
In her first public statement since the tragedy, Sharon expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans and the music community. “I’m still struggling to find the right words to thank everyone for the incredible love and kindness shown online,” she wrote. “Your messages and tributes have given me more comfort than I can express—they’ve helped me through some very difficult nights.”
A Moment of Healing
In addition to acknowledging the support, Sharon revealed a personal moment of solace. She described spending time with birds of prey, creatures that bond with humans based on trust and mutual respect. “Though I’m still finding my way, I wanted to share a magical afternoon with these powerful birds,” she said. “They only perch on you if they feel safe and unafraid. That connection meant a lot to me.”
Sharon closed her message by thanking fans and the Black Sabbath community for their ongoing love. “I love you all and appreciate the extraordinary support you continue to send my way,” she added.
A Lifelong Partnership
Sharon and Ozzy’s partnership has been a defining element of both their personal and professional lives. According to The Independent, their relationship began in 1979 when Sharon took over managing Ozzy’s solo career after he left Black Sabbath. Their working relationship soon turned romantic, culminating in marriage in 1982.
Over more than four decades together, the couple faced many challenges and triumphs, including raising three children and overcoming a brief separation in 2016 following Ozzy’s infidelity. Despite hardships, their bond remained resilient.
Ozzy’s devotion to Sharon was well-known. He once declared, “I love her more than anything in the world. I couldn’t live without her.” Sharon’s role extended far beyond that of a manager—she was his steadfast support through personal struggles, making her loss deeply felt by fans worldwide.
