Sebastian Bach has expressed renewed optimism about reuniting with his former band, Skid Row. The iconic singer parted ways with the group in 1996 after a heated altercation, and despite showing interest in reconciling over the years, his efforts were consistently met with resistance from his ex-bandmates.
In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Bach shared the reasons behind his newfound hope for a reunion. Bach revealed:
โI found out something at the very last Kiss show that I did not know before.
โItโs a major piece of miscommunication. I need to communicate with [Skid Row] because thereโs been something that happened that is not accurate. I canโt tell you what it is, but the whole narrative of they donโt like me and Iโm too crazy is complete bullshit. Itโs not true. Thereโs been attempts to get us going again.โ
Bach went on to express his belief that the barriers to a reunion are based on misunderstandings. He continued:
โI can just tell the world that thereโs a good chance thatโll happen because thereโs no fucking reason not to.
โBecause right now why it hasnโt happened is a miscommunication. Thatโs all I can say. Thereโs a miscommunication.โ
The singer, who recently launched his solo album Child Within the Man, has his hands full with a solo tour running through the end of July. Meanwhile, Skid Row recently parted ways with their singer Erik Gronwall, and for a short stint starting May 17, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale will step in as their frontwoman.
Despite his optimism, Bach acknowledged the delicate nature of the situation. He explained:
โI need to write a thoughtful email clearing up a miscommunication, but I have to make sure itโs the perfect fucking email and I donโt say anything wrong or make any jokes.
โI just donโt have the energy to do that right now, but I know I need to do that. Iโve just got a lot on my plate right now.โ
Sebastian Bach’s Hopes and Fears for a Skid Row Reunion
In the same interview, Bach also touched on his dreams and fears regarding a potential Skid Row reunion. He described having dreams where โthereโs no fighting or drama,โ but admitted his subconscious also plays out his anxieties. Bach confessed:
โI have a recurring fucking nightmare where Skid Row reunites, and I go to the gig, and I forget my in-ears.
โIโm backstage, and the whole arenaโs packed. And Rachel [Bolan] and Snake [Dave Sabo], I go, โFuck, you guys. Fuck, Iโve gotta go back to the hotel. I forgot my fucking in-ears.โ [Laughs] And Iโm in the Uber, and Iโm fucking racing, and the whole reunionโs happening. Iโve gotta get my fucking in-ears, and I canโt get the hotel key. So letโs analyze that, letโs analyze that shit right there that goes on in my head.โ
Sebastian Bachโs candid revelations indicate a complicated yet hopeful path towards a Skid Row reunion. While the past has been fraught with misunderstandings and miscommunications, his willingness to address these issues suggests that fans might still get to see the iconic band back together.
