The Scorpions are streaming a lyric video for “Out Go The Lights,” a bonus track taken from the Japanese edition of their latest album Rock Believer.

The album marks as their nineteenth studio record. The band along with Hans-Martin Buff co-produced Rock Believer and recorded it in during the pandemic in their hometown, Hannover, Germany.

Released on February 25, Rock Believer gave the band their US Top 5 debut and delivered their highest-charting project on the 30-year-old Billboard Top Albums chart. Singer Klaus Meine said in an interview about the album:

“Once we made the decision to make a new album, I started lyrics without any music.

“The idea was, ‘C’mon, give me a cool riff,’ you know? You have the songs, you have the lyrics and hopefully, you guys come back and give me some great music. It was the same with ‘Shining of Your Soul.’ Lyrics first, and I think Rudolf [Schenker] came up with this wonderful riff and this wonderful groove, which is like a Scorpions rock reggae [kind of sound]. It’s a very typical Scorpions song in that way. It has a different vibe and a different feel, but it’s one of the cool songs on the record.”

Meanwhile, Scorpions are currently on the road for their North American leg of a world tour in support of their album. The series of shows will wrap up in Las Vegas, NV on October 21 before they return for a December 2 performance in Mexico for the Hell and Heaven Metal Fest.
