Sammy Hagar Announces Massive Summer 2026 Tour

For the first time in nearly 30 years, Sammy Hagar is bringing his brand of high-octane rock back to U.K. stages. The former Van Halen frontman — who once proclaimed there’s “only one way to rock” — has announced a limited series of arena dates for summer 2026.
Hagar’s last British appearance came in 1995, when Van Halen joined Bon Jovi’s European tour. The trek included six shows, three of which packed out London’s Wembley Stadium alongside Thunder, Ugly Kid Joe, and Little Steven. A recording from one of those landmark nights was recently included in the expanded reissue of Balance, reviving memories of that era’s explosive performances.
The upcoming four-date U.K. run kicks off July 4 in Manchester and concludes July 9 in London. “I can’t wait to cross the Atlantic with the Best of All Worlds Band,” Hagar wrote on his website. “Fans in the U.K. and Europe have waited a long time — and so have I!”
A Career-Spanning Setlist
Hagar’s website promises that this tour will feature “the deepest dive yet” into his Van Halen years — but that’s just the beginning. The shows will also celebrate his more than five decades in rock, highlighting material from his time with Montrose, Chickenfoot, his extensive solo catalog, and beyond.
Among the songs expected to make the setlist are “Finish What Ya Started,” “5150,” “Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy,” “I Can’t Drive 55,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love.” With such a wide-ranging selection, fans can expect a full-throttle retrospective of Hagar’s storied career.
Looking Ahead While Slowing Down
These new dates come as something of a surprise, given Hagar’s recent comments about stepping back from traditional touring. The 77-year-old rocker has suggested that his ongoing Las Vegas residencies — which resume in March and September 2026 — offer a more sustainable way to keep performing.
“I knew that we weren’t going to have to travel. I knew I’d feel rested, and I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to be able to sing good every night. We’re going to be able to change the set.’ So we did all that,” he told the UCR Podcast last month. “It was so much better that I don’t really want to go on tour.”
Still, Hagar has no interest in calling it quits. “I would never announce a retirement. I would never, ever do a farewell tour — you’re never going to hear those words out of my mouth,” he said. “There’s no such thing in my life. I don’t play golf. So to me, [if you say] ‘Are you retiring?’ Yeah, I’m retiring in Las Vegas for now. I’m going to do shows there, because it’s so much easier on my voice and on my body.”
A Double Dose of Rock
Joining Hagar on the road will be rock icon Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, who are set to make their first U.K. appearance in 15 years. Their addition gives the brief tour an extra jolt of classic energy — a fitting pairing for a celebration of rock’s enduring spirit.
Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, October 31, through Hagar’s official website. Fans can expect a high-energy homecoming from one of rock’s most relentless showmen — a reminder that Sammy Hagar still knows exactly how to do it his way.
