A Legendary Band Returns to the Stage

Rush is officially back on the road. After announcing their first shows in over a decade, the legendary rock trio has expanded their Fifty Something 2026 arena tour, celebrating 50 years as one of rock’s most iconic bands.

Founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson revealed that they’ve added 17 new North American dates to their already sold-out run. The tour, which kicks off June 7 in Los Angeles, will feature German drummer Anika Nilles, who joins the band to honor the memory of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. The addition of Nilles, known for her technical skill and collaborations with Jeff Beck, brings a fresh yet respectful energy to Rush’s first tour since Peart’s passing in 2020.

Celebrating 50 Years of Rush

The newly expanded schedule includes stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Edmonton, Seattle, and Vancouver. Fans have been waiting 11 years for Rush to perform again, as their last major tour—R40, marking their 40th anniversary—ended on August 1, 2015, at the Los Angeles Forum.

That final performance became especially meaningful after Neil Peart’s death on January 7, 2020, from brain cancer (glioblastoma). Since then, Lee and Lifeson have spoken often about how much Peart’s legacy shaped their decision to tour again, making this anniversary a heartfelt tribute as much as a celebration.

How to Get Tickets

Fans eager to secure tickets for the new shows can sign up for the Rush artist pre-sale by October 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET. No code is required—access will be tied directly to the user’s account. The pre-sale officially begins October 27 at 12 p.m. local time, while general ticket sales open October 31 in the U.S. and Canada. Additional offers will be available through Citi and American Express pre-sales.

This announcement follows Rush’s earlier reveal of 12 initial shows, which quickly sold out. Within just days, the band added 11 more dates, and now, with this latest update, the total number of performances stands at over 40 shows across North America.
