Priscilla Presley has filed a lawsuit against four former business associates, accusing them of orchestrating a scheme to deplete her financial resources. The complaint, submitted on July 18, alleges that the ex-wife of Elvis Presley was conned out of $1 million by these individuals.
The lawsuit names Florida-based memorabilia auctioneer Brigitte Kruse, Kevin Fialko, Vahe Sislyan, and Lynn Walker Wright. Presley claims that they deceitfully convinced her to grant them control over her finances and then exploited this power to steal her money. According to the complaint, Kruse is described as a “con-artist and pathological liar” who allegedly swindled Presley out of more than $1 million. It also claims that Kruse “fraudulently induced” Presley into signing contracts that handed over 80 percent of her income to the defendants.
Presley’s representative, high-profile attorney Martin Singer, stated:
“This action arises out of a meticulously planned and abhorrent scheme by the defendants in this action to prey on an older woman by gaining her trust, isolating her from the most important people in her life, and duping her into believing that they would take care of her (personally and financially), while their real goal was to drain her of every last penny she had.”
He added:
“The fact that the plaintiff in this case is internationally recognized actress, author, and cultural icon … demonstrates both how effective the defendants’ plan was (and needed to be), and how anyone can be a victim of elder abuse and fraud.”
The 45-page complaint, as reported by Far Out Magazine, details how Kruse allegedly “quickly immersed herself in Presley’s life” after they met in 2021. It further claims that Kruse bombarded Presley with multiple daily text messages, expressing love and admiration, while simultaneously isolating her from trusted advisors and fabricating justifications for large withdrawals from Presley’s bank accounts.
Kruse and Presley have been entangled in legal disputes for some time. Kruse previously sued Presley for breach of contract in Florida, alleging that Presley abandoned their business partnership following the death of her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in 2023. Presley’s new lawsuit argues that Kruse’s earlier complaint was another attempt to manipulate and control her. The new complaint states:
“When it became clear to the defendants that their scheme had been uncovered, they attempted to falsely portray themselves as the victims by filing a lawsuit against Presley in Florida in the name of several of the sham companies they established.”
In her lawsuit, Presley is seeking at least $1 million in general damages, as well as punitive damages and attorney’s fees. She also aims to rescind the “fraudulently-induced agreements” with the defendants to regain control of her finances. The filing emphasizes the personal toll of the alleged scheme, stating:
“What Presley cannot accomplish through this action, however, is the rehabilitation of her personal friendships and relationships that were disrupted and/or materially harmed by the selfish, fraudulent acts of defendants, which could take years to accomplish, if at all.”
