Bon Jovi gained a new generation of fans in 2000 with their hit single “It’s My Life,” which became the band’s highest-charting song since their string of hits in the 1980s and ’90s. Now, more than twenty years later, “It’s My Life” is getting refreshed in the form of “Now or Never,” a remix led by Miami-born artist Pitbull.

The Remix Unveiled and Its Deeper Meaning

Pitbull first hinted at the remix when he brought Jon Bon Jovi on stage during a concert in September. “Now or Never” offers an upbeat, dance-ready reworking of the Bon Jovi classic, fitting seamlessly into Pitbull’s energetic music style. But the remix isn’t just about fun. Pitbull also takes a moment to reflect on his journey and the importance of resilience.

“The world’s always comin’ to an end / Don’t let it scare you out of livin’ / Look at me, mama, against all odds, your little baby boy did it,” Pitbull raps on the track. “Every day I say thank you / Every day I give thanks, every day’s Thanksgiving.”

The song comes out as Pitbull and Jon Bon Jovi are set to perform at the 25th annual Latin Grammy Awards in Pitbull’s hometown of Miami. While Pitbull is familiar with the Latin Grammys, it will be Bon Jovi’s first time at the event.

Busy Schedules and New Projects for Pitbull and Bon Jovi

The Cuban-American rapper has had a very busy year. He toured with Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin earlier in the year and later traveled across the country on his solo Party After Dark Tour. On November 8th, he began his new Las Vegas residency, “Pitbull: Vegas After Dark—The Residency.” This marks his first Vegas shows since his “Pitbull: Time of Our Lives” residency that ran from 2015 to 2019.

Bon Jovi has also been busy, sharing their rise to fame in the Hulu docuseries “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.” The band also released their sixteenth album, “Forever,” in June.

Tickets for the next “Pitbull: Vegas After Dark—The Residency” shows are available now. The shows are scheduled for January 24-25 and March 7, 8, 14, and 15.
