Pink Floyd Talks Brain Damage, And It’s Unlike Anything You’ve Ever Seen | Society Of Rock Videos

Insight Into The Complicated

Taken from the Interview Part II Live at Pompeii Director’s Cut, this video will show you a vulnerable and influenced Pink Floyd discussing their musical struggles and differences in depth.

“We did have some really difficult times a few years ago, but we seem to have, uh, managed to avoid the things that really get people too touchy, these days. Yeah…”

Caught on camera: a severely stoned David Gilmour shreds amazing solos to Brain Damage in between personal takes of the band and you really get a feel for the way the band worked together back then.

Interesting Fact: Pink Floyd was the first band to use a quadraphonic sound system at their concerts. Using 4 different channels of audio, it was an early version of surround sound.

Considering Dark Side Of The Moon was on the charts for 14 years, despite the choices made that were drug or alcohol related in the band, these guys did pretty well for themselves.

+ Brain Damage Lyrics +

The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path
The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon
The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me ’till I’m sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There’s someone in my head but it’s not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you’re in starts playing different tunes
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

“I can’t think of anything to say except…
I think it’s marvellous! HaHaHa!”
