The Osbourne family has made a return, keeping their promise to share updates with fans. In their very first family podcast episode, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his current health situation. Unfortunately, the news is far from optimistic.
The legendary “Prince of Darkness” candidly discussed his upcoming fourth surgical procedure, a result of injuries he suffered in 2019.
He expressed his apprehensions about the upcoming surgery:
“My lower back is the focus now, and Iโll be receiving an epidural soon. The latest findings indicate that while my neck has been successfully addressed, there are two vertebrae below my neck that were completely destroyed when the bike accident occurred. Thereโs nothing left of them. Frankly, Iโm not entirely sure what the medical team is planning.”
Describing his current physical condition, Ozzy added:
“At this moment, Iโm experiencing significant pain and discomfort.”

Since 2019, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with health challenges that forced him to step away from his illustrious music career. His hesitation to return to touring stems from a fear of letting down his devoted fans.
In 2019, he received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease and underwent surgery following a severe accident at home. His wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, shared insights into the family’s difficult journey:
โItโs been an incredibly demanding journey for all of us.โ
In a separate interview from 2020, Ozzy described the surgery and its necessity:
โAfter the surgery, I experienced numbness in my arm, and my legs would inexplicably go cold. I canโt say if thatโs related to Parkinsonโs or something else, but itโs a perplexing sensation. The real issue is that the surgery involved cutting nerves, and I had never encountered nerve pain before. Itโs a strange feeling.โ
In 2022, Ozzy faced yet another surgery due to his persistent chronic pain. Sharon explained the urgency of this surgery:
โThese metal plates had begun to shift, causing friction against his spinal cord. Some days, he would be in excruciating pain, literally brought to tears.โ
