Ozzy Osbourne has made it clear that he isn’t planning to retire completely after Black Sabbath’s final concert. As Metal Hammer reports, the legendary rocker intends to continue recording new music even after the band’s farewell performance.
A Lifelong Connection with Black Sabbath
Reflecting on his decades-long journey with the band, Osbourne said:
“I am very blessed to say my goodbyes with the help of so many amazing musicians and friends. From the late ’60s, we are probably one of the only bands where the original members are still alive and speaking with one another. As my wife says, it’s an invisible bond that can’t be broken.”
Embracing New Projects and Staying Connected with Fans
Looking ahead, Osbourne expressed enthusiasm for continuing his musical career:
“I still enjoy doing my own work. I also enjoy singing on other people’s work. For the foreseeable future, I will keep on recording if the projects interest me. It’s very important.”
While Black Sabbath’s last show is scheduled for July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, Osbourne’s plans go beyond music. AXS TV confirmed that he and his family will be special guests at Comic Con Midlands later that month, highlighting their ongoing engagement with fans through popular culture events.
Though Ozzy may scale back on touring, his dedication to music and fan connection remains strong. His decision to keep recording marks a shift from previous retirement expectations and assures fans that new material from the rock icon is still on the horizon.
