A Long-Lost Album Gets New Life

In 1973, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham toured the American South promoting their debut album Buckingham Nicks. The ten-track release didn’t gain much attention and led to the duo being dropped by their label. But legend has it that Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood heard their track “Frozen Love” and was so impressed that he invited them to join his band. That moment helped shape the future of Fleetwood Mac.

Now, over 50 years later, Nicks and Buckingham are preparing to reissue the album that introduced them. On September 19, the album will return, newly sourced from the original analog master tapes. Before that, fans can listen to the lead single “Crying In The Night,” which is already available.

Possible Surprises Ahead on Tour

This reissue news comes just as Stevie Nicks is getting ready for her 2025 North American tour. While there’s no official word on whether she’ll perform any Buckingham Nicks songs live—or if Lindsey Buckingham will appear with her—fans are hopeful. The only way to know for sure is to attend a show.

Tickets are currently available for all 17 of her upcoming concerts. These include major stops like Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on August 8 and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on October 18. Each show is expected to feature Fleetwood Mac favorites, Nicks’ solo songs, and possibly a few covers, based on past setlists shared on Set List FM.

At 77, Nicks is still connecting with her audience. “Hope to see you out there,” she wrote in a message to fans on Instagram. Her voice and presence remain strong, and her tour continues to attract fans of all ages. Whether she includes “Crying In The Night” or other deep cuts remains unknown, but her shows usually mix fan favorites with surprise moments.
