We’ll Be Tuning In!
Carpool Karaoke is awesome in that it makes you look at some of your favorite artists and wonder what sort of shenanigans they’d get up to in James Corden’s Range Rover. We’ve seen Elton John pull off insanely complicated wardrobe changes, Stevie Wonder make James Corden cry, and Madonna pull off some sweet yoga moves using her passenger seat and the moonroof, but after watching a teaser that’s been making the rounds today I think it’s pretty safe to say that thrash metal legends Metallica just might take the cake and become Carpool Karaoke’s most entertaining installment yet.
In a 32-second clip that debuted earlier today, Metallica explore strange musical territory that raised a few eyebrows and got even more people laughing as they engaged in a Disney music singalong, belting The Little Mermaid’s “Part Of Your World” with James Hetfield turning the ballad into a shouting match with comedian Billy Eichner as his bandmates look on in horror from the backseat.
“With James behind the wheel, we did a little backseat driving and singing and even made a pit stop for some grocery shopping! We know this has been on your radar for some time and are happy to report that our episode of “Carpool Karoke” will see the light of day next week on Tuesday, August 15th on Apple Music.
We’re big fans of the “Late Late Show With James Corden” where “Carpool Karaoke” was born (and will continue to live) and created a viral sensation, so we jumped at the chance to be a part of it.”
The fun doesn’t stop there, though; one clip shows the guys singing with deli clerks and revealing that they just might be fans of Rihanna if their grand finale of “Diamonds” is anything to go by, so it’s no wonder that fans are chomping at the bit for the episode to air in its entirety next Tuesday. I don’t know about you, but I’ll definitely be checking this one out – besides, who doesn’t love knowing that James Hetfield can rock a Disney show tune or two?
