Lou Gramm Delivers Devastating News For His Fans

Lou Gramm, the iconic former Foreigner frontman, has revealed his timeline for stepping away from the stage.
In a recent chat with Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM, the rock legend confirmed that 2025 will mark the end of his touring career. Gramm shared enthusiastically:
“I’m releasing a solo album in January, which I can’t wait for it to hit the airwaves.
“I think I’m going to go [tour] until May or June of next year, and then I’m going to go off the road. And that’s gonna be it for me.”
Gramm has hinted at retirement before, but this time, he seemed committed to the idea, discussing plans for life after music with sincerity.
Family Time and Fast Cars
After decades of touring, Gramm is ready to focus on his personal life. His seven-year-old daughter is a big reason for his decision. “I’ve got things that I’ve had to put aside because of touring,” he explained, adding that he wants to spend “a lot of time” with her.
But family isn’t the only thing on Gramm’s mind—his passion for classic and muscle cars is also calling him. “I’ve got a small but awesome collection of cars,” he said. Living in Rochester, New York, though, limits his driving season to just a few months. “April through October is when I’m usually on the road, so I don’t get to drive them. By the time we come off [tour], the snow’s flying.”
A Fresh Solo Album on the Horizon
Before retiring, Gramm will release a new solo album in January, a mix of fresh material and revamped ideas from the past.
“Half of my new album is brand new songs, and the other half is songs that were great ideas but not finished enough to be on my earlier albums,” he revealed. Over the past two years, he’s revisited unused tracks from his earlier solo work. “A lot of them are great ideas. There just wasn’t time to finish them. So I hear some of these ideas that I think could be great songs, and I finished them.”
With one last tour and an album packed with passion and nostalgia, Lou Gramm’s farewell promises to be unforgettable.
