Legendary Band Triumph Release 1983 US Festival Performance | Society Of Rock Videos

As part of its 40th-anniversary celebration, Triumph is streaming an official DVD video of their legendary 1983 performance at the US Festival.

The concert was held on May 29 1983 and the Canadian rockers were joined by other rock icons such as Van Halen, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, and more. At that time, Triumph was part of the festival’s lineup while they were also on the road in support of their sixth album, Never Surrender.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show, Triumph is issuing a limited edition double-LP Live at the US Festival package, available exclusively via the official Triumph merch at officialtriumphmerch.com. The band’s setlist includes songs from their albums Allied Forces, Just A Game, and Rock and Roll Machine.

Bassist Mike Levine said in a statement:

“Playing on the ‘Heavy Metal Sunday’ was just amazing for us.

“It was really neat playing without our big production. We killed it. The band was hotter than a pistol. That day will always be locked in my memory – flying in on the chopper and looking at the endless amount of people and going, ‘What have we got ourselves into here?!”

Watch the video below. Some of the comments read:

“One of the best bands ever! And no one sounded even close, just a class act. Thank you guys for the music and the impact you had on so many lives”

“Time to be inducted into Rock in Roll Hall of Fame. Let’s get them in”
