A Rock ‘n Roll-Themed Casino Destination
Aside from selling lunchboxes and coffins, KISS are now setting their sights on a more luxurious and ambitious project – a $200 million casino resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. Named after their restaurant chain Rock & Brews, the veteran rockers are partnering with Arizona-based gaming and hospitality firm RAM Group to open the complex on the 10.1-acre site of the closed Margaritaville Casino Biloxi once owned by Jimmy Buffett.
The rock ‘n’ roll-themed casino destination will include a 3,000-seat concert hall, 300-room hotel, casino space with over 1,000 slot machines and other table games, and KISS & other rock ‘n roll memorabilia.
According to RAM, the funding is complete and they already received the site approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission. In the next few weeks, they’ll work on the casino license. RAM spokesperson Tom Moore explained, “They will have rock legend halls and rock legend walls. When people come in here, they’re going to feel just a different experience.”
Meanwhile, KISS are still on the road this year with their final show already scheduled on July 17, 2021 in New York City. KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer told Niclas Müller-Hansen of Sweden’s RockSverige.se that they’re “at least halfway” into their documentary. Their biopic is set for release in 2021.
