Rock icon and former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley has officially canceled all remaining tour dates for 2025, citing ongoing health concerns.

Frehley had been scheduled to perform several shows in October and November, but the remainder of his tour has now been called off. The announcement came via a brief statement posted to social media on Monday.

“Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” the statement read.

Studio Fall and Future Album Plans

The cancellation comes just weeks after Frehley was hospitalized following a fall in his home recording studio—a mishap that had already forced him to withdraw from a scheduled show in Lancaster, California, where he was set to perform alongside Quiet Riot and Vixen.

Despite the setback, Frehley has remained focused on his music. In an earlier statement, he shared that he was looking forward to completing his next album, tentatively titled Origins Vol. 4. (Though only two Origins albums have been released to date, suggesting he may have meant Vol. 3.)

The Origins series has seen Frehley paying tribute to his influences through covers of classic rock songs, and fans remain eager to hear what he brings to the next installment.

Recent Touring and Solo Releases

Prior to his medical issues, Frehley had spent much of 2025 on the road in support of his latest solo record, 10,000 Volts, released in February 2024. The album marked his first collection of original material since 2018’s Spaceman, and was met with solid fan enthusiasm and positive reviews within rock circles.

Known for his distinctive guitar tone and offbeat charisma, Frehley has continued to build his legacy as both a founding member of Kiss and as a solo artist with a loyal following.

Kennedy Center Honors Recognize Kiss Founders

Beyond his solo work, 2025 brought another major milestone for Frehley and his former bandmates. Earlier this year, it was announced that the four original members of Kiss—Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss—will be honored at the Kennedy Center Honors, one of the highest accolades in American arts and culture.

The prestigious award recognizes artists who have made significant contributions to the performing arts and American cultural heritage. For Frehley and his former bandmates, it serves as a powerful acknowledgment of Kiss’s groundbreaking influence on music, live performance, and pop culture over the last five decades.

This year’s ceremony will take place in December, with former President Donald Trump scheduled to present the honors. The event will air on CBS and will also stream later on Paramount+. Other 2025 honorees include George Strait, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Crawford, and Gloria Gaynor.

Speaking on the honor, Frehley expressed deep gratitude:

“It’s a dream come true—something I never imagined would actually happen in my lifetime.”

For a musician whose career has spanned nearly 50 years, this moment represents more than a personal triumph—it’s a full-circle celebration of a rock legacy that helped shape generations of music fans.
