Original KISS drummer Peter Criss appears ready to make a major reveal. The 79-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer shared an enigmatic teaser video on his official YouTube channel and Facebook page, accompanied by the message:

“Hello KISS Army! Check this out!!!”

The animated clip opens with a rainy city skyline, set to eerie organ music. The scene shifts to what looks like a deserted building, with a couple of wooden crates marked “CRISS” draped in cobwebs. Lightning streaks across the sky as the camera pans upward.

Sinister laughter follows, revealing a building labeled “CRISS Incorporated,” with long windows or doors. Giant cat eyes are superimposed over the image, and the video ends with the ominous date: October 31, 2025.

While no official details have been confirmed, fans speculate that Criss might be teasing his long-discussed solo album — a project he first mentioned in an April 2025 interview on the KissFAQ podcast and on his official website.

Criss’ New Album Plans

In the April interview, Criss shared:

“I have an announcement. I have my new rock ‘n’ roll album … coming out in the fall. And I really hope you like it, man.”

Podcast host Julian Gil described the project as a “hard-rock, kick-a– album,” co-produced by Barry Pointer, who has worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Fred Coury (Cinderella), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), and John 5 (Mötley Crüe). Criss added, “What can I say? We had a ball.”

He also revealed some of the contributors in an April post on PeterCriss.net. The lineup includes guitarist Michael McLaughlin from his solo band, John 5, Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan, Piggy D. (current Marilyn Manson/ex-Rob Zombie), Paul Shaffer, and backup vocalists Dennis and Sharron Collins and Cathryn Manning of Cat5. Criss promised more in-depth interviews closer to the album’s release this fall.

If fans want confirmation, they may have to wait until Halloween to see what Criss is hinting at. His last solo studio album, One for All, came out in 2007.

Recent Milestones and Upcoming Appearances

Peter was also present at the private funeral of founding KISS guitarist Ace Frehley on October 22 in The Bronx, New York. Frehley, who passed away on October 16 at 74, suffered a brain bleed following a fall at home, and his family later decided to remove him from life support.

Looking ahead, Criss, along with KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, will be honored at the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., on December 7.

In early 2026, Criss will appear at the Mad Monster Party Carolina convention on February 20 and 21 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Concord, North Carolina, giving fans more opportunities to see the legendary drummer in person.
