Journey Sets Off on Massive 2026 Farewell Tour — 120 Shows, Deep Cuts and Big Surprises

After more than five decades on the road, Journey is preparing to take their final bow. The legendary rock band has announced that 2026 will mark their last major tour, a massive sendoff dubbed The Final Frontier Tour.

The Farewell Journey Begins

The tour will launch on February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and run through the summer, with stops across North America before concluding on July 2 in Laredo, Texas. Tickets go on sale November 14, with a full schedule of dates available below.

“This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way — through every song, every era, every high and low,” guitarist Neal Schon said in a statement. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”

Keyboardist Jonathan Cain echoed the sentiment: “It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions, and this tour is about gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Digging Into the Set List

In a recent chat with music producer Rick Beato, Schon offered a glimpse into what fans might expect from the set list — and hinted that rehearsals will be more intensive than usual.

“This next tour, we’re finally going to put in some rehearsal time,” Schon explained. “I said, ‘Man, we’ve got all of these great riffs — even if they’re not hit songs — from albums we’ve done. [They’re songs] nobody really knows, but the riffs are ass-kicking and they’re meant to be played live. So I want to find a way to utilize all of the bits and pieces — not to play the whole song, because it didn’t turn out great as a song, but there’s some ass-kicking riffs, man, that I know will really come across live.’”

What’s Next for Journey?

While the Final Frontier Tour is being billed as Journey’s last, the band’s future may still hold a few surprises. Earlier this year, Schon teased a possible new chapter when he shared an image reading “Journey Beyond” on social media — a phrase he later trademarked, suggesting a potential spin-off project or continuation in another form.

Whatever comes next, Journey’s 2026 farewell promises to be a powerful celebration of one of rock’s most enduring legacies — a final chance for fans to sing along to the anthems that defined generations.
