Journey surprised fans by adjusting their North American summer stadium tour set list on Friday, including the hit song “Who’s Crying Now” for the first time since the tour began nearly a month ago. This addition was made during their performance at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, where the band played “O Canada” as part of their 18-song set. The inclusion of “Who’s Crying Now” was a treat for fans, as the song is a classic from their Escape album, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became their first Top 10 hit.

According to setlist.fm, “Who’s Crying Now” ranks among Journey’s top 20 most-played songs in their concerts, reflecting its enduring popularity. This hit, along with other fan favorites, made Journey one of the top rock bands of their era.

Journey Continues Tour Despite Schon-Cain Legal Dispute

As Journey continues to tour across North America, they do so under the shadow of a legal battle between band members Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon. This week, Cain filed another lawsuit against Schon, accusing him of financial mismanagement. The lawsuit alleges that Schon maxed out an American Express account with a $1 million limit and frequently exceeded a daily hotel fee cap of $1,500, reportedly spending “up to $10,000 per night.”

Cain’s legal team contends that these “unforeseen strains on cash flow” present a “severe threat of harm to the company and to Journey’s storied history of musical greatness.” The court documents also highlight that the band’s internal conflicts ” impact the band’s reputation throughout the music industry.” Despite these issues, the filing notes that “the band’s actual onstage performance is, at the moment, one of the only aspects of the business that has not suffered.”

Despite the legal turmoil, Journey’s tour remains on track, with their next show scheduled for August 5 in Boston and is expected to run through early September.
