The Festival Is Officially On
Now that live music is making a comeback following months of hiatus, there’s no stopping festivals from returning too and it looks like it’s gonna be busy for the second half of 2021.
Foo Fighters, Journey, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus and Megan Thee Stallion are headlining the upcoming Lollapalooza for its 30th anniversary which will take place in Grant Park in Chicago from July 29 through August 1.
“Here in Chicago, the word ‘Lollapalooza’ has always been synonymous with summer, great music and four days of unforgettable fun – which made last year’s decision to postpone it all the more difficult,” Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot said in a statement. “Now, less than a year later and armed with a vaccine that is safe, effective and widely available, we are able to bring back one of our city’s most iconic summer music festivals.”
“I want to thank the Lollapalooza team for working closely with the City to create a reopening strategy that prioritizes safety,” he continued, “and can’t wait to see festivalgoers return to Grant Park this summer.”
Lollapalooza returns at full capacity but attendees have to show either proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result taken within 24 hours. Check out the full lineup below.
