Joe Perry has revealed that Aerosmith are in discussions about performing a final send-off show, despite their farewell tour being cut short in 2023.

The band’s Peace Out tour was canceled after just three performances due to frontman Steven Tyler suffering vocal cord damage. In 2024, Aerosmith officially announced they were retiring from touring, with little expectation that Tyler would fully recover.

Hopes for One Last Gig

Still, the bandmates haven’t completely closed the door. Perry and Tyler performed together earlier this year at a charity event, though a full Aerosmith reunion didn’t take place at that time. Now, Perry says the group is actively considering one last performance.

“We’re talking about it,” he told Trunk Nation. “I mean, except for like, anything on the calendar, we’re all alive and well, so, you know, we’ll just have to see. I know there’s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I’m not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one.”

When asked if Tyler would be physically able to handle a full concert, Perry responded:

“You know, I think he would. I think it’s just a matter of getting there.”

Tyler’s Return to the Stage

Tyler recently made a surprise appearance at the Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning event in Birmingham, England. He joined a star-studded supergroup lineup that included Ronnie Wood, Nuno Bettencourt, Tom Morello, Andrew Watt, Rudy Sarzo, and Travis Barker.

Together, they performed Aerosmith classics like The Train Kept A-Rollin’ and Walk This Way, followed by a cover of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love. According to Metal Hammer, Tyler’s performance was nothing short of “magic.”
