Plans and Postponements
Joe Perry, the lead guitarist from Aerosmith, was set to perform at Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Premier Theater with fellow Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, and Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo. However, the show scheduled for August 22 was postponed, as was another show at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on August 23. In an Instagram post, Perry said that “a bug” had been making its way around the band and they were “not in shape” to perform.
Cancellation at Foxwoods
While the Port Chester performance has been rescheduled, the Foxwoods show has been canceled. The Foxwoods website states: “The Joe Perry Project’s performance at Foxwoods — originally scheduled for Friday, August 22 has officially been canceled,” and notes that “Refunds will be available at your original point of purchase and will be processed automatically”.
Refunds and Ticket Info
According to Ticketmaster, which sold the tickets in Connecticut, a refund will be issued to the original payment method, with funds arriving in 14–21 days.
The tour picks up again on August 26 in Boston, where the Joe Perry Project opens for The Who at Fenway Park. After that, the band will wrap up the short run with two shows in September, one of which will see them open again for The Who.
