Fans around the globe will soon get a front-row seat to rock history. Black Sabbath’s final concert, called Back to the Beginning, will be live streamed from Birmingham, England on July 5. This special event will reunite the band’s original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the first time in nearly two decades.
Ozzy’s Farewell Takes Center Stage
While Osbourne, Iommi, and Butler have toured together as recently as 2016-2017 without Ward, this upcoming show is particularly significant. It’s being promoted as Ozzy Osbourne’s last-ever live performance, marking the end of an era. Osbourne has been battling several health issues in recent years, including a Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2020, which has limited his ability to perform full sets.
“I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath, but I am doing little bits and pieces with them,” Osbourne shared on his SiriusXM show Ozzy Speaks. “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”
A Star-Studded Lineup of Rock Royalty
This isn’t just a farewell—it’s a massive celebration. Some of the biggest names in rock and metal will join the event to honor Sabbath and Osbourne’s legendary careers. Expect epic sets from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon, and Sammy Hagar, among others.
In a special tribute, many of these artists will cover classic Black Sabbath and Ozzy solo tracks along with their own music. Sammy Hagar, for example, confirmed he’ll perform “Flying High Again” from Osbourne’s Diary of a Madman album.
How to Watch the Final Show
For fans unable to be there in person, a live stream of Back to the Beginning will be available. Tickets are on sale now for $29.99 at BacktotheBeginning.com. The concert kicks off on Saturday, July 5 at 3:00 PM BST / 10:00 AM EST.
It’s a final bow for one of rock’s most iconic bands—don’t miss your chance to witness the end of a legendary journey.
