Heart has announced the cancellation of their Royal Flush European tour dates, as singer Ann Wilson recovers from a “time-sensitive but routine medical procedure.”
The band was set to perform in Europe from June 20 through July 12, with scheduled appearances at several festivals and headlining shows supported by Squeeze. The news of the tour cancellation was shared via a statement on social media. The statement read:
“We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are canceled.
“In late May, Ann Wilson will undergo a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks. Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon. Refunds will be available at point of purchase as applicable.”
Ann Wilson also took to her personal Facebook page to address the situation, reassuring fans:
“I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann.”
Heart’s 2024 Tour Schedule in North America
Heart began the first leg of their North American Royal Flush tour last April 20, which wrapped up last week. The band is scheduled to get back to North America on July 30 and will continue their road tour until mid-December. For most of these shows, Heart will be headlining with support from Cheap Trick, although they will open for Def Leppard and Journey in select cities. Other supporting acts also include Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening and BTO Featuring Randy Bachman.
The Royal Flush tour is Heart’s first major extended tour since 2019. In addition, Nancy Wilson also hinted last summer that the band has been working on new music reminiscent of their late-’70s era. Heart fans are very excited about the prospect of this fresh material.
