A haunting video is now making the rounds online — and it might have been a glimpse into the chaos that was coming. Just hours before the tragic Air India crash that killed over 240 people, a passenger posted footage from a flight aboard the very same Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, showing major power failures mid-flight.

Broken Systems, Dead Screens, and Angry Passengers

Passenger Akash Vatsa flew from Delhi to Ahmedabad on that same aircraft and noticed something seriously wrong. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Akash shared a video showing multiple system failures onboard: the air conditioning wasn’t working, the service buttons were dead, and even the in-flight entertainment touchscreens didn’t respond.

He made it clear he wasn’t just annoyed about bad service — he was sounding the alarm. Akash wrote in his post that he filmed the video “to call out Air India’s shoddy service.” Along with the footage, he flashed his boarding pass and highlighted the plane’s call sign — VT-ANB — clearly displayed on the jet’s side. That exact aircraft would go on to crash just a few hours later on its route from Ahmedabad to Gatwick, UK.

From Warning to Tragedy

Hours after Akash’s frustrating flight, that same Dreamliner became a fireball, crashing into a medical college hostel and leaving only one survivor. The crash was caught on video and has since horrified people around the world.

It’s another blow to Boeing, which has been under fire following several recent safety scares — including the terrifying Alaska Airlines incident where a door plug blew off midair.

Back in January 2024, former Boeing quality manager John Barnett told TMZ Live the company was “removing quality from the process.”

With this latest disaster and glaring signs hours before takeoff, people are now wondering: Were the red flags ever taken seriously? Was this avoidable? There was no word back from Boeing at this point.
