Guns N’ Roses have confirmed their first U.S. appearance of 2026, securing the opening-night headlining slot at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida. The four-day event, taking place May 7–10, will also feature major headlining sets from Foo Fighters, Bring Me the Horizon, and My Chemical Romance. The full Rockville 2026 lineup appears below.
A Triumphant 2025 Tour and a Change Behind the Kit
The band recently wrapped their expansive 2025 world tour, Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things, which launched in Incheon, South Korea, before moving through Asia, Europe, and South and Central America.
This tour marked the debut of drummer Isaac Carpenter, who stepped in after longtime drummer Frank Ferrer’s departure in March. Carpenter — previously known for his work with Duff McKagan’s Loaded — joined the lineup seamlessly. The run proceeded largely without issues, though a few viral moments emerged, including Axl Rose’s frustrated microphone toss during a Buenos Aires performance. Despite online jokes about “old Axl,” the band later explained the incident was triggered by malfunctioning in-ear monitors.
Is New Music on the Way?
With only four festivals currently scheduled for 2026 — Tecate Pa’l Norte in Monterrey, Monsters of Rock in São Paulo, Download Festival in Leicestershire, and Welcome to Rockville — fans have speculated that the band may be carving out time for new music. But Slash cautions against assuming that.
“There’s so much material at this point, it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it,” he told Guitar World. “But the thing with Guns is… you can never plan ahead. Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.”
For now, the band’s next official release is the vinyl reissue of Live Era ’87–’93, arriving Friday — a reminder of the enduring energy and unpredictability that continue to define Guns N’ Roses.
