Guns N’ Roses brought the heat at Saturday’s Back to the Beginning concert with a killer tribute to Black Sabbath, covering four classic Sabbath tracks that had fans buzzing all night. As one of the biggest draws of this epic rock and metal extravaganza, Guns N’ Roses mixed their own hits with deep cuts from the Sabbath catalog, proving their love for the legendary band runs deep.
Axl Rose Leads a Seamless Sabbath Set
Kicking things off, Axl Rose belted out “It’s Alright” from Technical Ecstasy (1976), before sliding into “Never Say Die!,” the title track from Sabbath’s ’78 album. Next up was “Junior’s Eyes,” another gem from the same record, showing the band’s commitment to honoring some of Sabbath’s lesser-played but powerful songs. Their tribute climaxed with a thunderous rendition of “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” a perfect nod to the heavy metal pioneers.
Wrapping Up with Classic GNR Fire
After paying homage, Guns N’ Roses cranked up the energy with two of their all-time greatest hits: the adrenaline-pumping “Welcome to the Jungle” and the crowd-favorite “Paradise City.” The crowd went wild, setting the stage for what was still to come.
At this update, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, and Black Sabbath were still slated to hit the stage, and fans around the world could catch all the action via live stream on the concert’s official site.
